Historic Milestone: College Celebrates First-Ever Graduation Ceremony after 17 Years of Excellence
On August 22, 2025, SDA NMTC Asanta marked a monumental milestone with its inaugural graduation ceremony, a vibrant celebration of academic excellence and institutional growth. Since its founding in 2007, the college has nurtured 17 cohorts of dedicated healthcare professionals, and this historic event honored the achievements of 307 graduates across three esteemed programs: Registered General Nursing (RGN), Registered Midwifery (RM), and Nurse Clinical Assistant (NAC). The ceremony, held at the college’s campus, was a testament to the institution’s commitment to shaping the future of healthcare in Ghana and beyond.
The event was graced by an impressive array of dignitaries whose presence underscored the significance of this milestone. The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle served as the Guest of Honour, delivering a heartfelt address that praised the college for its role in addressing the region’s healthcare needs. The District Health Director for Ellembelle, serving as the Guest Speaker, inspired the graduates with insights on the evolving landscape of healthcare and the critical role they will play in it.

Joining them were the Deputy Director of Nursing Services (DDNS) from Eikwe Government Hospital, Axim Government Hospital, and Nagel Hospital, each offering words of wisdom drawn from their extensive experience in the healthcare sector. The Chief of Asanta, a respected community leader, and the President of the South West Ghana Conference (SWGC) of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church also delivered powerful speeches, encouraging the graduates to uphold integrity, compassion, and excellence as they embark on their professional journeys. Their collective messages resonated deeply, igniting a sense of purpose and pride among the graduates and attendees.
The Class of 2025 comprised 307 graduates, reflecting the diversity and rigor of the college’s academic programs:
- 84 students earned a Diploma in Registered General Nursing (RGN)
- 89 students received a Diploma in Registered Midwifery (RM)
- 134 students graduated with a Certificate in Nurse Clinical Assistant (NAC)

The ceremony’s highlight was the recognition of the valedictorian, Ms. Juliet Duvor from the RM3 program, who achieved an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.9. Ms. Duvor’s address was a beacon of inspiration, as she reflected on the challenges and triumphs of her academic journey and urged her peers to embrace their roles as change-makers in the healthcare industry.
The inaugural graduation ceremony was more than a celebration of academic achievement; it was a powerful statement of the college’s mission to transform lives and communities through education. As the institution looks to the future, it remains steadfast in its pursuit of excellence, poised to shape the next generation of healthcare leaders.
